Great Productions Goes to Space

In April, Great Productions was involved in the creation of a series of five-minute shorts called A True Canadian Minute... and a Half for Space - The Imagination Station. The ten-short series pokes fun at supernatural events in Canada. Space is adding these to their collection of ten shorts previously purchased last year.

"It was great working on these," says director, Sean Karow. "We had the opportunity to work with many talented actors; I think our cast consisted of 18 performers!"

Ron Waddling and Garfield Andrews joined the cast, playing diverse characters such as a conspiracy theorist, a crop circle expert, a wacky professor and a mean-spirited American ambassador. "Sean really had some wonderfully funny scripts, and both Garfield and I welcomed the opportunity camp it up a little," says Ron who also doubled as the series' associate producer.

Bruce Hayward may be known to you as the artist who does the narration for many of our corporate productions. Bruce left the microphone at home and appeared as the series' host, introducing the many wacky phenomena such as Spontaneous Human Explosion and The Detestable Snowman - The Yapi.

Space runs these shorts generally five to ten minutes before the end of each hour.
