Tippet-Richardson Celebrates 75 Years

In September 2003, Tippet-Richardson celebrated their 75-year anniversary at Walt Disney’s Swan & Dolphin Hotel in Orlando. Over 600 guests from around the world represented their friends, clients and suppliers.

We treated the guests with smoked Atlantic salmon, Canadian beef and other fine fare in a room with Canadiana décor. For the room’s centerpiece, we arranged for a 1927 vintage moving truck from T-R’s fleet to be brought up from Toronto. Guests were able to have their photo taken beside it. A visiting RCMP officer was also on hand to greet the guests.

"It was a splendid event," said T-R’s president Peter Naylor. "Great Productions handled the many small details that make an event enjoyable."

Congratulations to Canada’s friendly movers, and thank you for letting Great Productions be a part of your celebrations.

The Company
Basil Tippet and C.A. Richardson founded Tippet-Richardson in 1927. Using a rented warehouse and a single van, the new company started by moving family and office furniture. To make their western deliveries, the drivers had to use highways in the United States because a major Canadian highway system did not exist.

Over the years, of course, times have changed and so has Tippet-Richardson. The company has expanded into a global enterprise also offering services such as business records storage, special products moving and overseas moving.
